Juxo.in ("Juxo", "we", "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your Personal Data and Digital Personal Data in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and applicable rules of India, and where relevant, the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the SPDI Rules, 2011.

1. Who we are (Data Fiduciary)

Juxo.in operates the JUXO platform for hospitals ("JUXO for Business") and consumers ("JUXO Care"). For the purposes of the DPDP Act, Juxo.in is the Data Fiduciary for personal data you provide directly to us.

2. Personal Data we collect

  • Account data: name, email, phone, password (hashed), organisation.
  • Health data (JUXO Care): self-reported health profile, family members, medications, medical documents you upload, chat history with our AI companion.
  • Usage data: device, browser, IP, log data, feature usage.
  • Communications: support tickets, feedback, emails you send us.

Health data is treated as sensitive and processed only for the purposes below.

3. Purposes of processing (Lawful uses)

We process your Personal Data for the following specified purposes with your consent, or as otherwise permitted under Section 7 of the DPDP Act:

  1. Providing the JUXO services you signed up for.
  2. Enabling AI features (summaries, reminders, timelines) that you request.
  3. Account security, fraud prevention and abuse monitoring.
  4. Legal compliance and responding to lawful requests.
  5. Product improvement using aggregated / de-identified data.

We do not sell your data. We do not use your health data for advertising.

4. Consent

By creating an account you provide free, specific, informed, unconditional and unambiguous consent to processing for the purposes above. You can withdraw consent at any time from your account settings or by writing to info@juxo.in. Withdrawal will not affect prior lawful processing.

5. Sharing

We share Personal Data only with:

  • Cloud infrastructure and AI processors acting as Data Processors under contract.
  • Your hospital / provider, only where you use JUXO through them.
  • Authorities, when required by law or a valid court order.

6. Data storage & security

Data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure with encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest. Access is role-based and audited. We follow reasonable security practices as required by Rule 8 of the DPDP Rules and SPDI Rules.

7. Retention

We retain Personal Data only as long as necessary for the purposes above or as required by law. You may request deletion at any time.

8. Your rights under the DPDP Act

You have the right to:

  • Access a summary of your Personal Data being processed.
  • Correct, complete, or update your Personal Data.
  • Erase your Personal Data (subject to legal retention).
  • Nominate another person to exercise rights in the event of your death or incapacity.
  • Grievance redressal — write to info@juxo.in and we will respond within statutory timelines.

9. Children's data

JUXO is not intended for users under 18 without verifiable parental consent. Health profiles for minors on JUXO Care must be created by a parent or lawful guardian.

10. Cross-border transfers

Where data is transferred outside India, we do so only to jurisdictions permitted under the DPDP Act and with appropriate safeguards.

11. Changes

We may update this Policy. Material changes will be notified in the app or by email.
